Physical Anatomy - 2:00 - Ms. Lori and Ms. Margaret - All Ages

I will praise you because I have been fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works ARE WONDROUS, AND I KNOW THIS very well. Psalm 139:14

The musculoskeletal system comprises over 200 bones and 650+ skeletal muscles working together to provide structure, protection, and movement. Bones act as a rigid framework, while muscles (attached via tendons) contract to pull on bones and create movement. Voluntary contraction and joint flexibility enable locomotion and daily physical tasks.

In PHYSICAL Anatomy, we will learn about the bones and muscles of our body. Then we will take our bodies to the mat and learn where our bones and muscles are, and how we use them every day. This class is listed for multiple age groups because we will split the class into two groups. Half of the class will do the “Lecture” first, while the other half does the “Lab” portion on the mat. Then we will switch.
